Back in the psychedelic ’60s, Robert Fripp’s King Crimson emerged onto the scene as a trailblazing force in the burgeoning genre of prog-rock. Anyone who has never heard—or owned—In the Court of the Crimson King has got some homework to do, as countless artists have cited the album as a seminal influence to their own works. By 1975, however, the band had disbanded. In 1981, they reformed with a fresh lineup, featuring Adrian Belew, Bill Bruford, and Tony Levin. Together, their approach to music had shifted and new sonic territories were explored, producing some mind-boggling albums like “Discipline,” “Beat,” and “Three of a Perfect Pair.”

Now, over 40 years later, a new project, BEAT, brings together Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, Steve Vai, and Danny Carey to pay homage to King Crimson's innovative sound. Despite the absence of Fripp and Bruford, the band will embark on the 2024 BEAT Tour, performing tracks from the iconic trio of albums.

Though [very] noticeably absent, Fripp has endorsed the tour, stating, “This is the project that Adrian Belew called me about last autumn, a project which I support and fully encourage.” The show goes on, however, and the newly formed band will nonetheless excite a fanbase that has missed the captivating live act. With tour dates spanning from San Jose, CA to Washington D.C., BEAT aims to recreate the timeless, complex, and downright incredible music of King Crimson’s '80s era.

Fans can secure tickets for the tour, which kicks off on September 12th, with an artist presale underway and general ticket sales starting on April 5th. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the resurgence of King Crimson's legacy through BEAT, a collaboration fueled by admiration and musical mastery.
