New album due out Feb. 24

Garrett Sayers, the bad-ass bassist for Colorado hometown heroes The Motet, will be releasing his first full length album on Friday, February 24. Thinkbox, released on Immersive, is an imaginative instrumental exploration in funk and motif. The title track has been shared with us and we can't stop listening and considering just what it has to offer..
"Thinkbox" is eerie, nasty and a little nervous. The tune demonstrates a deep and almost disturbing groove that stems from drummer Jonny Jyemo's angular patterns. Thick delay sustains a trace of wet melody close behind, as a mournful synthesizer breathes a curious light ahead. Garrett's powerful bass tones and precise patterns round out the sound in full scope.
The trio is, of course, built upon Garrett Sayers on bass and includes fellow bad-asses Patrick Lee on keyboards and Jonny Jyemo on drums. GS3 has a few choice performances forthcoming that you won't want to miss; at Denver's Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom's Other Side on Wednesday, March 1st, and the following night at Hodi's Half Note in Fort Collins on Thursday, March 2.
Fans can get 1 track now (streaming free via the Bandcamp app and also available as a high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more), plus the complete album the moment it's released on Friday, February 24th.
