COjam has a new Featured Artist for March, 2017 in Flash Mountain Flood, a Boulder-based band with exploratory tendencies a la the Grateful Dead. FMF is committed to a classic feel, preserving one of America’s greatest music cultures with their unique approach to their live shows and extensive catalogue of original song.

Founding members include Logan Green on lead guitar and vocals, Derek Dames Ohl on bass and vocals, Wes Rather on rhythm guitar and vocals and Tanner Clark on drums. Keyboardist Paul Copoulos joined the band in November of 2015, finalizing their lineup.

The five-piece released a brand new EP in January entitled Need To Breathe. Recorded at I Was There Productions studio in Denver, CO, the songs are both classic FMF and a hint at a new direction for the band. The compositions showcase a maturity stemming from countless hours together, both on stage and off. Today's installment of New Music Monday is the title track to Flash Mountain Flood's latest release. Check it out below.

FMF will headline the Fiske Planetarium in Boulder, CO on Friday, March 24th at The University of Colorado Boulder for a night of classics, originals and a journey through deep space you'll never forget!
