Michelle Sarah is a powerful singer and songwriter known for her explosive vocals, relentless creative energy and dynamic blend of soul and funk. Born in Toronto and raised in both Guyana and the United States, her musical foundation was forged in the church through gospel—an influence that shines through during each of her performances.

After moving to Colorado in 2017, Michelle has firmly put down her roots in Denver, assembling an all-star band featuring members of Karl Denson's Tiny Universe and John Brown's Body to back her on the road. With her solo project's new lineup, the captivating songstress finds herself supported by guitarist DJ Williams (KDTU), bassist Dan Africano (John Brown's Body), keys player Eric Luba (Analog Sun), and drummer Eric Imbrosciano (Jaden Carlson Band). With her powerful voice and stunning stage presence at the forefront, Michelle Sarah has earned high praise from countless musicians and her ever-growing fan base.

Michelle has performed with many of the top acts in the live music scene today, cultivating an enviable list of collaborations with key players in the soul, funk, jam, jazz and EDM genres. She has previously performed with members of the Grateful Dead, Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Meters, Galactic, Pretty Lights, Lettuce, The Motet, Soulive and many more, and sat in with nationally renowned artists like Parliament-Funkadelic, Warren Haynes, Robert Randolph, and The New Mastersounds. She has also performed at iconic venues such as Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheater, and sung at high-profile events including Bonnaroo, New Orleans' Jazz Fest, Jam Cruise, Gathering of the Vibes, Wanee and others.

Catch this all-star lineup at The Black Buzzard in Denver on Friday, April 19. The show is presented by none other than COjam: The Colorado Jam Scene.
